Tolkien Project
I have enjoyed the beauty of Tolkien's writing and poetry since childhood. One day, while reading through the poem Where Now the Horse and the Rider? I took my guitar and wrote a simple melody to fit the words. Since then I have written many other songs to Tolkien's poetry and am slowly working on sharing them all.
Over ten years ago I started sharing a few of my songs on YouTube, including one of my most loved songs "Legolas's Song of the Sea". I have received so many encouraging comments and over 290,000 views on that song alone!
After a move, a renovation and having a baby, I finally feel I can begin focusing again on writing and recording my music in whatever spare time I can find! Even though I still only have a very small recording system, (one microphone!) I hope to produce the best quality recordings that I can, and continue developing my skills, while maintaining the emotion and passion of each song.
In the summer of 2023 a dream of mine became a reality when I filmed my very first music video, with the help of a few dear friends. Singing an original song When All Other Lights Go Out (based on Galadriel's words to Frodo and Sam) I hope to honor J.R.R. Tolkien for sharing his beautiful and meaningful stories with us. His faith in our Creator shines through in his work and reminds us that there is light and truth and beauty in this world. I would like to do the same, in my own small way. In John 8:12 Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Please leave me a comment on YouTube. I love hearing from you!

NOTE: When I first recorded this song years ago I mispronounced the word "Dúnedain". I was finally able to correct the pronunciation, and would love to share it with everyone!
